Tyler Tam

From starting off as a member during his Freshman year to becoming treasurer, vice president, and current co-president, Tyler has shown hard work and dedication towards the club throughout the past few years. Putting together presentations, helping fundraise at local events such as Founder’s Day, and creating hand-made cards for those affected by world health affairs are just a few of the things Tyler has contributed and hopes to continue doing for AFWHA.

Alex Yu

Alex joined AFWHA in his freshman year, and his outgoing personality helped expand and grow the club through fundraising events like Founders' Day and presentations. Throughout his experience, Alex enjoys contributing to the friendly and caring environment in meetings and events of AFWHA, and hopes to serve and educate the community.

Claire Yin

Claire is a senior at High School South and she has been a member of AFWHA since her freshman year. Outside of AFWHA, she enjoys giving back to her community, traveling, and cooking. In the past year, she has volunteered at her local hospital, fundraised for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and worked with kids at a Pre-K summer camp. Claire is excited to be an officer this year and hopes to bring more awareness to global health issues through educating others and fundraising.

Joseph Lee

Joseph has been an active member of AFWHA since his sophomore year. His interest in various global health issues and the dedication to advocating these causes through multiple fundraisers have made an impact in his community. He wishes to continue to spread the awareness of these issues to younger generations.

Daniel Hu

Joining AFWHA in his sophomore year, Daniel has looked to contribute to the club outside of volunteering and organizing fundraisers. Along with Edward, he helped develop the club website and looks forward to expanding AFWHA's outreach.

Edward Zhang

Edward has always had a passion for helping others, whether it be through volunteering at the local hospital or at his Chinese school. AFWHA piqued his interest in his freshman year, and he has helped to organize events such as the Chipotle and Cookie Dough fundraiser, as well as helped to develop the club website.

Deepti Athreya

Deepti Athreya is currently a senior and has been a proud member of the Ambassadors for World Health Awareness Club since her freshman year. This year, she is excited to be serving as the Treasurer for the club and spreading awareness on various global health issues. Outside of the Ambassadors for World Health Awareness Club, she is an avid tennis player and a member of the Girl's Tennis Team. She is an active participant in the Debate and Red Cross Clubs. She also enjoys playing the piano in her free time. She is looking forward to a productive year ahead.

Anushya Shankar

Anushya is a junior who is passionate about making a difference in our community. As a Girl Scout, she is committed to volunteering and spreading awareness about impactful social issues. Some of her favorite activities include singing, fencing, and coding.

Even though only joining his Junior year, Atharv has shown a commitment to AFWHA. From never missing a meeting to participating in AFWHA events, Atharv hopes to contribute even more the upcoming year.

Guhan Pradeep

Guhan Pradep has been with the club since his sophomore year, and although fairly new to the club and its affairs, currently holds the position of officer. Although his first year with the club was cut short due to the pandemic, he did attend meetings regularly and assisted in a few activities. As an officer for the first time this year, Guhan hopes to have more of an impact than he did last year, possibly helping to organize any events or fundraisers that take place, such as Founders Day in the spring.
